Too much Information – Too little time

21 11 2009

This is my first blog post for an interesting journey that we are planning of taking.

Most of the friends that i have talked to here in Bay area (Cali) agree to the fact that Google has definitely been successful at making world’s information accessible to everyone. But the problem this brings to us is that we have limited time to access information. An average internet user does not spend more than 1-2 hrs/day for seeking information and surfs around 6-8 website on a regular basis. But does this cover everything that he/she should be reading? That is where the big question of prioritization comes in. You wish there was an algorithm that could just show you the news items/blog posts that you might be interested in.

Many efforts have been made in this area by different entrepreneurs but no comprehensive solution still exists which can suggest to one the information piece that he/she should be reading.

This blog will be a series leading to launch of a successful online solution to these issues – a tool to manage and prioritize information for you.

Any suggestion is welcome !!!
